Executive Summary (General Business): A request for support to rename two roads within the Verano Development. The road referred to as School Access Road within Verano South Pod H-Plat No. 1 to Legacy Lions Drive and the road referred to as North-South A Road within North-South A Roadway Plat to Sundance Vista Boulevard.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council adopt the resolution as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the resolution.
2. Move that the Council not adopt the amendment and provide direction.
Background: This is a request to change two street names within the Verano Development. School Access Road street name was approved via P21-264 Verano South - Pod H - Plat No. 1 and North-South A Road street name was approved via P22-023 North-South “A” Roadway Plat. The applicant has requested to change the name within the Verano South Pod H - Plat No. 1 plat to Legacy Lions Drive. The North-South A Road right-of-way is a section of Sundance Vista Boulevard that was platted prior to the official naming of the street. This application provides consistency with the street name.
Issues/Analysis: St. Lucie County has approved the names of Legacy Lions Drive and Sundance Vista Boulevard street names to be used within the Verano Development. If City Council is in agreement with the proposed name change, St. Lucie County will be notified. The Board of County Commissioners may then approve the change by resolution. After the resolution is approved the County will notify all public safety offices, the post office, and update the St. Lucie County mapping systems.

Location of Project: North-South A Road tract is located north of Crosstown Parkway and spans north 1,535.16 feet to the southernmost entrance of Verano POD H. School Access Road is located west of North-South A Road and spans 1,244.04 feet west.
