Background: The State of Florida offers statewide purchasing contracts on a variety of vehicles that are available to eligible agencies. These contracts provide a discount for purchases much larger than if the City issued a solicitation of its own. The City has used the State of Florida Contracts to purchase fleet vehicles in previous years at discounted prices.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the State of Florida Contract and finds that it meets the needs of the City and meets the requirements of the City’s procurement ordinance.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the FY 2020-2021 budget in various City Departments.
Special Consideration: The original Contract was approved by City Council on 1/27/2020 as Item 7b.
