Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20210031 and enter into a unit price Contract with Day Dreams Uniforms, Inc. for the Supply of Sworn Officer Uniforms.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and award Contract #20210031.
2. Move that the Council not approve Contract #20210031 and provide staff with direction.
Background: Due to the expired contract for Police uniforms, a new bid was necessary to obtain competitive pricing. An E-Bid was issued on March 31, 2021 to 113 potential suppliers. There were 13 plan holders with one proposal being received on April 27, 2021.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the proposal submitted by Day Dreams Uniforms, Inc. and find they provide the best value to the City. Day Dreams Uniforms, Inc. has been providing quality uniforms to the Port St. Lucie Police Department for the last 17 years and is a local vendor.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the Police General Fund/ Various/ Operating Supplies (001-XXXX-552000).
