Background: The Utility Systems Department (“USD”) has installed simplex residential grinder systems and duplex grinder systems throughout the City since 1996 and has created one of the largest low-pressure systems in the United States. The growth of the City as well as the movement from septic to sewer requires new residential grinder systems to be installed. Renewal of the pricing terms contained in this contract is needed to continue to supply grinder systems as needed. This renewal also includes increases currently reflected in the marketplace.

Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the prices and recommends moving forward with the renewal for pricing for the 1-year period.

Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the Utility Operating Fund (431-0000-141007 & 141008).
