Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)

2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and CXT, Inc.
3. Purpose: To provide quality restroom and shower facilities as needed.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The initial term began on 10/15/2021 through 10/15/2025 and may be extended one additional year expiring on 10/15/2026.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Ability to utilize CXT’s contract for restroom and shower facilities, multipurpose buildings and precast concrete buildings that have been competitively bid in the United States that will offer the best value to the City.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The cost to the City will be determined on a per project basis at the negotiated rates contained in this contract.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council waive the bidding, per Chapter 35.04(c), good cause shown, and approve participating in the Sourcewell Coop Contract #081721 for Prefabricated Concrete Buildings with CXT, Inc.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve participating in the Sourcewell Coop Contract #081721.
2. Move that the Council not approve and provide staff with direction.
Background: Utilizing this contract with CXT, Inc., will provide the City with the means to purchase prefabricated restrooms currently used in City parks.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the Sourcewell Coop Contract and finds that it meets the needs of the City and meets the requirements of the City’s Procurement Ordinance.
Financial Information: Individual projects funds are available in the appropriate fiscal CIP Budget.
Special Consideration: Sourcewell is a service cooperative created to provide programs and services to members in the government, education, and non-profit sectors. Its statutory purpose is to assist members in meeting specific needs which are more efficiently delivered cooperatively than by an individual entity. Sourcewell is a self-supporting government agency with oversight from a board of publicly elected officials.
