Executive Summary (General Business): The City of Port St. Lucie Youth Council was established in 2023 and serves as a fact-finding board. The Youth Council members are residents of the City who are currently enrolled in high school in grades nine (9) through twelve (12). On August 12, 2024, the City Council tentatively approved a new Youth Council structure for year 2024/2025 which allows all members who submitted sufficient applications to serve on the Council. To ensure everyone is actively involved, we will offer various committees focusing on different topics. This structure is intended to promote collaboration and ensure that all members can participate meaningfully.
This item serves to do the following subject to the City Council’s advice and consent: Appoint the 47 nominees listed below as regular members of the City of Port St. Lucie Youth Council:

Special Consideration: This item is contingent upon the Council’s approval of the resolution on this agenda updating the Youth Council’s by-laws to reflect the structural change to the Youth Council such that all recommended members may be appointed.
