Background: In July 1982, the City of Port St. Lucie and the St. Lucie County Board of Commissioners entered into an Interlocal Agreement for the maintenance of certain County roads and sidewalks located within the City limits. Under this agreement The City maintains the sidewalks along St. James Drive. To connect an existing sidewalk at NE Lazy River Parkway and NE Royce Avenue, St. Lucie County requires an easement over a portion of a City canal. The canal or canal ROW will not be negatively impacted by the sidewalk improvements. Pursuant to the existing interlocal agreement in place, the City will maintain this portion of sidewalk upon completion.

Issues/Analysis: N/A

Financial Information: The County is paying for the construction of the sidewalk and associated improvements. The City will then maintain the sidewalk henceforth with existing Road and Bridge sidewalk maintenance funds.
