Executive Summary (General Business): This is a City initiated Text Amendment amending Section 158.110 of the City of Port St. Lucie Code of Ordinances. This amendment would increase the maximum building height for publicly owned or operated buildings or uses in the Institutional zoning district from 35 feet to 65 feet.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the proposed text amendment as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the amended text amendment.
2. Move that the Council deny the proposed text amendment.
Background: The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval at their December 5, 2023 meeting.

Special Consideration: This text amendment would only be applicable to the specified uses within the Institutional zoning district. All other uses would remain at 35 feet, unless otherwise indicated in the designated Conversion Area.
