2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Safety & Boot Center, Inc.
3. Purpose: To provide safety supplies and boots for various departments.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The Initial term of the contract is July 8, 2025, through July 8, 2028. This Contract allows up to two (2) additional one (1)-year renewal options.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Various departments will be able to utilize this contract for safety supplies and boots as needed.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Estimated annual expenditure is $100,000. Future expenditure will be appropriated each budget year.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve, per Code Section 35.08(a)(9)(b), to participate in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2025-3679 for Safety Boots & Safety Supplies / Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and amend the recommendation and approve participating in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2025-3679 with Safety & Boot Center, Inc.
2. Move that the Council not approve participating in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2025-3679 and provide staff with direction.
Background: The City of Port St. Lucie utilizes safety supplies and boots across multiple departments to uphold employee safety standards. These items have been consistently used to ensure workplace protection. As the City continues to grow, the demand for quality safety supplies and boots likewise increases, supporting the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the contract rates and determined they are reasonable, acceptable, and compliant with the City’s procurement ordinance. Leveraging the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract for Safety Boots and Supplies represents a strategic approach that enables the City to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the availability of high-quality safety equipment across departments.
Financial Information: Funds will be appropriated in various departments budgets.
