Executive Summary (General Business): Michael Parks, Chief Operating Officer with TBH Network is partnering with Banner Lake Academy, a non-profit school in Hobe Sound, to support their Back-to-School Event on August 8, 2026.
Presentation Information: Michael Parks, Chief Operating Officer with TBH Network, will be in attendance.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council find that sponsorship of this program serves a valid public and/or municipal purpose and approve the request.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the sponsorship request.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: Banner Lake Academy is located in Martin County; however, this event serves families throughout the Treasure Coast. In support of the event, TBH Network respectfully requests authorization for the City Communications team to share the event information on the City’s social media page(s). This request is consistent with previous sponsorship-related promotions approved by the City Council.
Issues/Analysis: The Communications Department has been advised of this request for assistance and will respond accordingly upon approval from City Council.
Financial Information: Nominal use of City staff and equipment to promote requested awareness on the City’s social media page(s).
Special Consideration: N/A.
