Executive Summary (General Business): Oaths of Office for all the new committee members to be administered by the City Clerk’s Office for the 2024 Affordable Housing Advisory Committee members.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board recommend the administration of the oaths.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Board amend the recommendation and administer oaths.

2.                     Move that the Board not approve and provide staff direction.

 

Background: Affordable housing advisory committee members appointed via Resolution 24-20 approved on 03/25/2024.
(APPLICANT/POSITION/EXPERTISE):

1. Councilman Anthony Bonna: Appointed Elected Official, City of Port St. Lucie City District 3 Councilman.

2. Dawn Burlace: A citizen who is actively engaged in the banking or mortgage industry in connection with affordable housing, FL Real Estate Navigators.

Rebecca Danise: A citizen who is actively engaged as a real estate professional in connection with affordable housing, Realtor, Baron Real Estate Group.
4.
Cynthia Herrera: A citizen who represents the employers within the jurisdiction.
5.
Quineshia Adderly-Hawkins: A citizen who is actively engaged as a real estate professional in connection with affordable housing, Realtor, Central Coast Realty.

6. Samiea Hawkins: A citizen who is actively engaged as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing, Seminole Tribe of Florida, Housing Office Coordinator.

Stefan Obel: A citizen who resides within the jurisdiction of the local governing body making the appointments, IT Network Security Engineer and volunteer member of the Habitat for Humanity ‘Family Selection’ Committee, and volunteer mortgage underwriter/loan originator for Habitat for Humanity.

Stephanie Heidt: A citizen who resides within the jurisdiction of the local governing body, Director, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council Economic Development, and Intergovernmental Programs.

9. Kylee Fuhr:  A citizen who represents essential services personnel, as defined in the local housing assistance plan.

1. Immacula Carpentier: A citizen who is actively engaged as a not-for-profit provider of affordable housing, Director Lease Administration, Prestige Estates Property Management.

2. Sandy Colon: A citizen who resides within the jurisdiction of the local governing body making the appointments, Retired, Director of Housing, Urban League of Palm Beach County.
