Background: The City installed approximately 12,000 linear feet of 24-inch reclaimed water pipeline to supply the Western Grove and Tradition neighborhood areas. The Glades Wastewater Treatment Facility will supply the reclaimed water to the distribution system for this project. The reclaimed water main connected the existing piping on Glades Cut Off Road to the general vicinity of the existing Glades Wastewater Booster Pumping Station.

Issues/Analysis: The objective was to install reclaimed water main in the Western Grove and Tradition neighborhood area, which allows the City to expand its reclaimed water distribution system up to 10.15 million gallons per day and provide a sustainable water supply to the rapidly growing Port St. Lucie customer base. The project will also assist SFWMD in mitigating saltwater intrusion by providing recharge water to the shallow aquifer.

Financial Information:   The monetary consideration is increased by an amount not-to-exceed $25,564, for a total revised Agreement amount of $619,100.

Special Consideration: This project is complete.

Location of Project: Western Grove and Tradition neighborhoods.
