2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie, Duval Ford, LLC, Hub City Ford-Mercury, Inc., and Tampa Truck Center.
3. Purpose: To purchase medium to heavy trucks at discounted prices.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The initial term began October 1, 2016 and expires on July 31, 2021 with no options for renewal.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Allows the City to purchase medium and heavy trucks at discounted prices.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The cost to the City will be determined per purchase at the negotiated rates contained in this contract.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council waive the bidding, per Chapter 35.04(c), good cause shown, and approve the participating in the State of Florida contract #25101600-16-1 for the Purchase of Medium and Heavy Trucks with all awarded vendors.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve participating in the State of Florida Contract #25101600-16-1.
2. Move that the Council not approve participating in the State of Florida Contract #25101600-16-1 and provide staff with direction.
Background: The State of Florida offers statewide purchasing contracts on a variety of vehicles that are available to eligible agencies. These contracts provide a discount for purchases much larger than if the City issued a solicitation of its own.
Issues/Analysis: Staff reviewed the State of Florida Contract and finds that it meets the needs of the City and meets the requirements of the City’s procurement ordinance.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the FY 2020-2021 budget in various City Departments.
