2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and the Port St. Lucie Downtown Lions Foundation, Inc.
3. Purpose: Provide alcohol sales at Freedomfest event on July 4, 2021.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: July 4, 2021, 4 - 10 p.m.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Celebrate the fourth of July and the history, government, and traditions of the United States, providing fireworks, food, live musical performance and other entertainment for the community.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): N/A
Presentation Information: Parks & Recreation staff will be in attendance to answer any questions of City Council.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve 2021 Freedomfest Agreement with the Port St. Lucie Downtown Lions Foundation, Inc. in substantially the same form as attached below.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the 2021 Freedomfest agreement.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: For 30+ years, the City has offered our Signature Event, Freedomfest, to the community of Port St. Lucie. This historic event continues to provide a great, safe celebration of our country through entertainment, fireworks, food, and fun.
