Executive Summary (General Business): Tropical Dream Homes, LLC (the property owner of commercial lots located on the south west corner of Aurelia Ave. and Port St. Lucie Blvd.) has prepared a drainage easement to grant and convey to the City of Port St. Lucie for roadway drainage on the corner of Aurelia Ave. and Port St. Lucie Blvd.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution to accept the drainage easement.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Resolution accepting the drainage easement.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Resolution and provide staff direction.
Background: Tropical Dream Homes, LLC is the property owner of commercial lots located on the south west corner of Aurelia Ave. and Port St. Lucie Blvd. The property owner performed off-site improvements to the City’s drainage system on Aurelia Ave. as part of the site development. These off-site drainage improvements included construction of a drainage pipe at the corner of Aurelia Ave. and Port St. Lucie Blvd which is situated on the property owned by Tropical Dream Homes, LLC. Therefore, the property owner has prepared a drainage easement to convey to the City of Port St. Lucie for the purposes of reconstructing, maintaining, operating, removal, and repair of the drainage within the easement area.
Issues/Analysis: The proposed drainage easement was reviewed by the Public Works Department, the City Surveyor, and the City Legal Department. The location of the drainage pipe is un-avoidable due to other facilities that are located near the roadway intersection. Staff has no objection to the proposed drainage easement.
Financial Information: There will be no cost incurred by the City.
