Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)

1.                     Prepared by: Kelly A. Tiger, Special Events Administrator.

2.                     Parties: City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department & The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland.

3.                     Purpose: Provide heritage event for the community featuring a safe, fun atmosphere celebrating Irish culture & cuisine through music, food trucks, midway carnival & parade.

4.                     New/Renewal/Modified: Renewal.

5.                     Duration: Friday, March 15 at 5 p.m. through Saturday, March 16, 2024, ending at 10 p.m.

6.                     Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Continued partnership with Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland and a free Irish festival for the community to enjoy.

7.                     Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): N/A

 

Presentation Information: Parks & Recreation staff will be in attendance to answer any questions.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Heritage Event License Agreement.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the 2024 St. Patrick’s Heritage Event License Agreement.

2.                     Move that the Council provide staff direction.

 

Background: The St. Patrick’s Day Festival has been offered for more than 30 years and is a Heritage event with the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department.
