1.                     Prepared by: Kelly A. Tiger, Special Events Administrator.

2.                     Parties: City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department and The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland.

3.                     Purpose: Provide a fun, safe cultural experience honoring the Irish culture, by offering a parade, midway carnival, youth performances, traditional Irish cuisine, and live Irish music.

4.                     New/Renewal/Modified: Renewal.

5.                     Duration: Friday, March 11, 2022, 5-10 p.m. and Saturday, March 12, 2022, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

6.                     Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Offering a great cultural experience for our residents while maintaining a positive partnership with The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland.

7.                     Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): N/A.

 

Presentation Information: Parks & Recreation staff will be in attendance to answer any questions.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Heritage Event License Agreement with The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Heritage Event License Agreement with The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland.

2.                     Move that the Council provide staff direction.

 

Background: The St. Patrick’s Day Festival is 30+ years old and is a Heritage Event with the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department.
