6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The renewal will extend the contract to allow for the design to be finalized and up to $150,000 of the design cost will be reimbursed by St. Lucie County for the Hogpen Slough STA project.

Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Amended Stormwater Agreement.
2. Move that the Council reject the Amended Interlocal Agreement and provide direction.
Background: The City and St. Lucie County entered into the original interlocal agreement on March 28, 2022, which allows St. Lucie County to reimburse the City up to $150,000 for the Hogpen Slough STA project design. The two-year contract has expired and the amended contract will extend the contract time beyond the expected design completion date.

Financial Information: The interlocal agreement allows the County to reimburse the City up to $150,000 for the design of the Hogpen Slough Storm Water Treatment Area Project.
Special Consideration: N/A
Location of Project: The project is located north of Walton Road and west of Lennard Road along the Hogpen Slough Canal and an adjacent 11-acre parcel where a storm water treatment area is proposed.
