In 2018-2019 this project was appropriated for funding through the ½ Cent Sales Tax, and the current design was modified to reflect the current City Council vision.
This project consists of landscape beautification of the medians along US #1 (State Road 5) from the St. Lucie/Martin County line to SE Huffman Road (+3.3 miles). The project is split into two (2) segments as Segment 1 does not include an irrigation system. The landscape beautification project includes large plants, small plants, turf, irrigation systems, and hardscape improvements consisting of two (2) foot borders/bullnose stamped colored concrete in the medians for safety while performing maintenance activities.
