Request: To grant a variance to Section 158.222(B)(4) - Driveway Spacing from Intersections. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow a shared access driveway from Becker Road within the functional area of the intersection of Becker Road and Port St. Lucie Boulevard.

Executive Summary: This is a request to grant a variance to Section 158.222(B)(4) - Driveway Spacing from Intersections. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow a shared driveway between two future lots on Becker Road that is 257 feet from the intersection of Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Becker Road. The total length of the block is 498 feet.
The Public Works Department has indicated that no driveway access shall be allowed on the subject block from Becker Road due to the driveway being located in the functional area of the intersection. A Wawa convenience store and gas station is proposed to be located at the southwest corner of SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SW Becker Road.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Board review the application and vote to approve, approve with conditions, or deny the variance request.
