Background: Council approved the Sole Source contract with Xylem Water Solutions US, Inc. on November 10, 2025, to maintain approximately 325 lift stations throughout the City. These stations rely on submersible pumps, which are subject to failure due to the demanding nature of their use. Timely repair of these pumps is critical to ensure the sanitary sewer system remains operational. Expanding the current contract to include critical components and parts will streamline procurement, improve response times for repairs, and support uninterrupted sewer service. These efforts help prevent service interruptions and sanitary sewer overflows.
Issues/Analysis: Council approval is needed for this Amendment. Staff is requesting approval under City Code of Ordinance, Section 35.09(b). Staff has reviewed the Amendment and finds the new pricing to be fair and reasonable.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in various Utility accounts.
