2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Safety & Boot Center, Inc.; West Of Ole England, Inc.
3. Purpose: To provide safety supplies and boots for various departments.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New.
5. Duration: The initial term of this contract period was February 1, 2021 through February 1, 2024 with the option for two (2) one year renewals. The first option to renew has been exercised for a period of February 1, 2024 through February 1, 2025.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Various departments will be able to utilize this contract for safety supplies and boots as needed.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): Estimated annual expenditure is $100,000. Future expenditure will be appropriated each budget year.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve, per Code Section 35.08(a)(9), to participate in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2021-3289 for Safety Boots & Supplies.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve participating in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2021-3289.
2. Move that the Council not approve participating in the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract #RFB2021-3289 and provide staff with directions.
Background: City of Port St. Lucie uses safety supplies and boots throughout various departments to support employee’s safety standards. The City has used safety boots and supplies in the past to ensure protection for employees in the workplace. The City of Port St. Lucie continues to grow and as the City grows, so does the City’s demands for quality safety supplies and boots for various departments to help in establishing and maintaining a safe work environment.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the contract rates and find them reasonable, acceptable and it meets all the requirements of the City’s procurement ordinance. Utilizing the Martin County Board of County Commissioners Contract for Safety Boots and Supplies represents a strategic decision that would allow City of Port St. Lucie to optimize operational efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure high quality professional safety supplies and boots across various departments.
Financial Information: Funds will be appropriated in various departments budgets.
