Background: From 2007 to 2012, the City leased the property to the St. Lucie County School District for the purpose of constructing a temporary school site. The School District cleared and graded the property, designed and permitted the storm water collection system, installed underground drainage, constructed a wet retention pond, constructed asphalt parking lots and driveways, constructed interior sidewalks, and an open-sided “airnasium,” brought water/sewer/electric services to the site and built a playground. Amendment #1 includes modifications to the volleyball court, additional testing, modifications to the pier, electrical panel, additional sidewalks, directional bore for the electrical panel, additional permits, and design revisions. The additional work requires an additional ninety (90) calendar days.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the proposal and finds it to be fair and reasonable.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the Parks & Recreation CIP Fund / Parks & Recreation / Improvements O/T Building (#305-7210-563000-22PR005P).
