Executive Summary (General Business): This is the transmittal public hearing for the Comprehensive Plan amendment to the Future Land Use Element to remove the Institutional (I) zoning district from Policy 1.1.4.13 as it relates to the Residential, Office, Institutional (ROI) future land use designation.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a short presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the transmittal of the text amendment to the Department of Economic Opportunity and reviewing agencies.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the transmittal of the text amendment to the Department of Economic Opportunity and reviewing agencies.
2. Move that the Council not approve the transmittal and provide staff direction.
Background: The Planning and Zoning Board at its April 6, 2021 meeting unanimously recommended approval of the text amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.
