Background: The existing 4-lane divided highway is currently under construction to create a fully “urban” roadway to include curb and gutter, multi-use paths, landscaping, irrigation roadway lighting and pedestrian lighting that will match what is being constructed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). To maintain continuity, the City has requested that the mast arms be changed to the 12-sided mast arms. This results in a price difference of $17,904.30.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the additional expense and finds it reasonable and acceptable. The material change is at the request of the City.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the approved budget for the Road & Bridge CIP Fund / Traffic / Improvements O/T Building / SW Port St. Lucie Blvd. Reconstruction (#304-4121-563000-Y1717).
Special Consideration: N/A.
Location of Project: Port St. Lucie Blvd. from Darwin Blvd. to Gatlin Blvd.
