Strategic Plan Link: The City’s Mission to plan for smart and balanced growth.

 

Executive Summary (General Business): The proposed project will consist of a four-story hotel with 122 guest rooms and onsite improvements.  The proposed Woodspring Suites Hotel will be located at the corner of SW Village Parkway and SW Discovery Way.  The Port St. Lucie Governmental Finance Corporation (GFC) is the property owner.  There is a purchase and sale agreement between the GFC and DI Development, LLC, (proposed developer).

 

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a short presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the site plan application as recommended by the Site Plan Review Committee. 

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the site plan.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve the site plan and provide staff direction. 

 

Background: The Site Plan Review Committee reviewed the proposed site plan at their meeting of November 25, 2020 and recommended approval.
