Executive Summary (General Business): The purpose of this request is to allow repair and maintenance of vehicles for the Discount Tire store to be able to sell, install and service automotive tires and wheels. The existing site is zoned General Commercial which allows the retail sales of tires however, the “installation, service and repair of tires” requires a Special Exception Use per Section 158.124(c)(10) of the Zoning Code. 

 

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a brief presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the request as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the request.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve and provide staff direction.

 

Background: The Site Plan Review Committee recommended approval on March 10, 2021. The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval on June 1, 2021.
