Background: The City brought back the popular Spooktacular House & Yard Decorating Contest for its second year, inviting Port St. Lucie residents to celebrate Halloween in style. Residents transformed their homes with spine-chilling displays, creative decorations, and Halloween lights, submitting photos of their setups via the City’s website. From October 30 to November 3, 2024, these spooky submissions were showcased on the SpookyPSL webpage, where the community could vote on their favorite haunted display. This year, 1,337 votes were cast for 56 incredible entries across four unique categories.
The Spooktacular House & Yard Decorating Contest proved once again to be a thrilling way to boost community spirit, encourage creativity, and bring Halloween magic to Port St. Lucie. Entry for this free contest opened on October 1 and closed on October 29, allowing plenty of time for residents to craft their eerie displays. Winners were publicly announced on the City of Port St. Lucie’s website at www.CityofPSL.com/SpookyPSL and social media accounts on November 5.
