2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Godwin’s Lawn & Landscape Service, Inc.
3. Purpose: To continue to maintain the unmanned park sites as additional areas are located.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: Contract expiration of December 31, 2022, with an option to renew for an additional 1-year period.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Maintain additional areas of neighborhood park locations with mowing & trimming services.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The total amounts for the Amendments are as follows: #2 is $8,568; #3 is $6,426; #4 is $12,852; #5 is $9,600; #6 is $22,100 for a total amount of $59,546.00. The revised estimated Contract amount is $214,326.02.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Amendments #2, #3, #4, #5 and #6 to Contract #20180227 for the Mowing & Trimming of City Park Lands with Godwin’s Lawn & Landscape Service, Inc.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Amendments #2, #3, #4, #5 and #6 to Contract #20180227.
2. Move that the Council not approve the Amendments and provide staff with direction.
Background: Amendment #1 removed Winterlakes Park from the Contract and added four (4) new locations: Sandpiper Bay Park, Kiwanis Park, Jaycee Park, and Woodland Trails Expansion for an overall reduction of $688.38.
Amendment #2 added the location of Winterlakes Park back into the Contract as it was identified as needing to continue services for this area.
Amendment #3 added 18 additional mows per year to the Winterlakes Park location.
Amendment #4 added 12 additional acres to Winterlakes Park to maintain per year.
Amendment #5 added a new location for mowing services to be performed at S.W. Cycle Street two times a month, twenty-four times a year.
Amendment #6 added additional mowing services for rough terrain and all the trees and vegetation to be mowed around at Wilderness Park. There was a total of 25.49 additional acres added.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the additional services and locations to be maintained by Godwin’s Lawn & Landscape Service, Inc. and approve to continue with them servicing these areas.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the FY 2022-2023 budget in the General Fund / Parks & Recreation / Other Contractual Services (#001-7210-534000-00000) & General Fund / Botanical Gardens / Other Contractual Services (#001-7215-534000-00000).
