2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
3. Purpose: To enter into a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with FDOT.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New
5. Duration: Project needs to be let no later than May 3, 2023 and constructed by April 19, 2024.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Provides pedestrian access on the west side of NW Selvitz Road between NW Floresta Drive and NW Bayshore Boulevard
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The anticipated cost to the City is estimated to be $103,183.00 pending the execution of the LAP agreement which will contribute $344,650.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into and execute a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the motion.
2. Move that the Council not approve the agreement and provide staff direction.
Background: The City was awarded funding from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction of a 6-foot-wide sidewalk along west side of NW Selvitz Road between NW Floresta Drive and NW Bayshore Boulevard. The Sidewalk Master Plan is located on our City Website
Issues/Analysis: The execution of the enclosed Resolution authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with FDOT and allow City Staff to take actions necessary to implement the terms and conditions of the LAP agreement.
Financial Information: The estimated cost of the project is $447,833.00. The total LAP Agreement is in the amount of $344,650.00. The remaining $103,183.00 is appropriated in the Road & Bridge CIP Fund / Road & Street (#304-4105-563000-Y1420) and is identified in the Adopted Budget.
