Background: Palm Beach County competitively bid out its Term Contract for Fiber Optic Engineering, Design, Material, Supplies and installation services in October 2024. The City would like to utilize the Palm Beach County Term Contract for smaller projects under the City’s Agreement. The various City departments will be able to utilize the Agreement to make any necessary repairs and/or maintain and install on an as-needed basis. The Agreement will also help departments with future budgeting as they can better estimate the cost of the installation and repairs based on the rates listed in the Agreement. The proposed Agreement is similar to other City contracts as those in place for these types of services.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the Palm Beach County Contract and finds that it meets the needs of the City and meets the requirements of the City’s procurement ordinance.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in various department budgets.
Special Consideration: N/A.
Location of Project: Various locations throughout Port St. Lucie.
