2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie (City) & Florida Department of Transportation (Department)
3. Purpose: The Department seeks to install a decorative feature consisting of a Port St. Lucie Logo within the right-of-way of S.R. 712 and the City will take over maintenance of the decorative feature.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: New
5. Duration: Perpetual
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The Port St. Lucie logo will provide a beautiful identification of our City to all travelers of the Florida Turnpike north and south of the S.R. 712 bridge.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The City is responsible for any ongoing maintenance of the decorative feature and any cost associated with that task.

Background: The Department’s Five-Year Adopted Work Program includes a project to construct a partial interchange to connect Midway Road and the Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) in the City. To ensure the most effective utilization of public resources and to facilitate the construction of the Project, the City’s Public Works Department conveyed City Land to the Department per Ordinance 26-65. In exchange for the conveyance of the City Land, the Department has agreed to perform certain drainage work as well as include project enhancements that create a gateway into the City which is to include installation of a decorative feature consisting of a Port St. Lucie Logo within the right-of-way of S.R. 712 on the bridge abutments.
Issues/Analysis: The City agrees to maintain the decorative feature to be installed. Maintenance by the City shall include but not limited to color elements, inspection, repair, restoration, replacement, and general maintenance of all features within the limits of the Improvements.
Financial Information: N/A as the Department is performing these services in consideration of the City conveying the above referenced land.

Location of Project: Saint Lucie County, Florida along SR 712 from M.P. 5.899 to M.P. 6.541.
