3. Purpose: To provide for an increase to cover Post Design Services.

5. Duration: Current end date is November 19, 2027.
6. Benefit to Port St. Lucie: To provide funding to complete the post design services for this project.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $149,987.00 is needed to complete the Post Design Services. The new contract total amount is $2,946,002.00.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Amendment #15 to Contract #20190112 for the Design Services for Floresta Drive Improvement Project Phases 2 & 3 with CONSOR North America, Inc. fka CONSOR Engineers, LLC fka American Consulting Engineers of Florida, LLC.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Amendment #15 to Contract #20190112.
2. Move that the Council not approve Amendment #15 to Contract #20190112 and provide staff with direction.
Background: The Floresta Drive Improvement Project has long been a priority project for the City Council and the City of Port St. Lucie. The project was originally conceived as a 4-lane section. The project was modified based on resident input to include a 2-lane complete street roadway that would support projected traffic volumes and encourage safe and efficient traffic flow.
This Amendment will increase funds available to address post design services for the remainder of the project. Post design services include answering questions regarding construction plans or technical aspects of the construction documents, attending progress meetings (as needed), field reviews, plan revisions, shop drawing reviews, and resolving design issues identified in the field during construction.
Issues/Analysis: Amendment #15 requires City Council approval under City Code of Ordinances, Section 35.09(b), as it increases the Contract price by more than $99,999.99. Staff has reviewed the proposal and is requesting approval from City Council.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the Half Cent Sales Tax Fund / Road & Streets / Design Services (#310-4105-563005-00000).
