Review and Accept the City Manager’s Biweekly Report/Strategic Plan Update

Executive Summary (General Business): At the request of the Mayor and City Council, staff will formally present to the Council the City Manager’s Biweekly Report, a magazine-style report produced by the Communications Department released every other week, highlighting the City of Port St. Lucie’s latest news, project updates and events. At this monthly update staff will highlight items in the report specific to the advancement of the City’s Strategic Plan and provides an opportunity for project managers to discuss any project which is anticipated to not meet the adopted completion timeline.
Presentation Information: A 10-minute presentation will be provided by Strategic Initiatives Director Kate Parmelee and any Strategic Plan Project Manager who has an update on their project’s timeline.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council accept the Biweekly Report/Strategic Plan Update and provide direction as needed.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and accept the Biweekly Report/ Strategic Plan Update and provide direction as needed.
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: In response to feedback from the City Council, staff is providing monthly updates on progress or delays of Strategic Plan priorities via the City Manager’s Biweekly Report at the monthly Special meeting. The City Manager will also provide updates when required during regular City Council meetings to keep the Council further informed. Further, staff will regularly provide updates to the Strategic Plan progress dashboard and website available at www.cityofpsl.com/strategicplan.
Issues/Analysis: Included in this month’s update are Volume 4, Issue 21 of the City Manager’s Biweekly Report, released on October 23, 2020 and Volume 4, Issue 22 of the City Manager’s Biweekly Report, released on November 10, 2020.
