Executive Summary (General Business): This is a staff-initiated text amendment to amend Chapter 158, “Zoning Code”, Article XII - Site Plan Review Requirements and Procedures to streamline the approval process for minor and major site plans.

 

Presentation Information: Staff will make a presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council adopt the ordinance as unanimously recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the ordinance.

2.                     Move that the Council not adopt the ordinance and provide staff with direction.

 

Background: This staff-initiated text amendment was discussed at the City Council Retreat on July 25, 2020.  City Council directed staff to proceed with the amendments as presented.  The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the text amendment at their September 1, 2020 meeting.
