Executive Summary (General Business): This application requests a future land use designation of Institutional (I) for a vacant 13.244-acre parcel just south of the existing Calvary Chapel school. The parcel currently has a future land use designation of Residential, Office, Institutional (ROI). The proposed land use designation of Institutional (I) will continue to support the provision of new educational resources for the City’s population.
Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the comprehensive plan amendment as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the comprehensive plan amendment.
2. Move that the Council not approve and provide staff direction.
Background: The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the comprehensive plan amendment at their April 2, 2024 meeting.
