2.                     Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (“FDEP”)

3.                     Purpose: To amend Grant Agreement NF080 to grant the City with additional time.

4.                     New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.

5.                     Duration: The term is extended until March 31, 2024.

6.                     Benefits to Port St. Lucie: This is a cost-reimbursable grant fund for the McCarty Ranch Water Quality Restoration and Storage Project - Area 4.

7.                     Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The 319 Grant Amount is $718,950. The Legislative Grant Amount is $1,024,862. The City’s match is $578,635.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Resolution 24-R03 and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment 3 to Grant NF080.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Resolution.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve the Resolution and provide staff with direction.

 

Background: The City entered into NF080 with the FDEP on February 23, 2021. The Agreement was revised by Amendment 2 to end on December 31, 2023.

 

Issues/Analysis: This Amendment is necessary to extend the duration of the Project. Although Area 4 is complete, one final report needs to be submitted to the FDEP.

                     

Financial Information: There is no change to the Grant amounts or project costs.

 

Special Consideration: This project is complete.

 

Location of Project: McCarty Ranch Water Quality Restoration Area 4.
