7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): $140,000.00 plus closing costs and the appraisal fee.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Resolution authorizing the acquisition of real property located at 2802 SW Vittorio Street for stormwater management purposes.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the acquisition.
2. Move that the Council not approve the acquisition.
Background: Access to the City’s stormwater network has become increasingly challenging due to limited access from privately owned properties located along and adjoining critical facilities that are being developed primarily with new residential homes. This property adjoins a critical facility that the Public Works Departments utilizes to manage stormwater during significant rain events. Moreover, this facility has lived out its service life and will need to be replaced in the foreseeable future.
Issues/Analysis: Access to a critical stormwater facility that manages flood control for over 1000 residential properties.
Financial Information: The acquisition will cost the City $140,000.00 plus closing costs and the appraisal.
Special Consideration: N/A.
Location of Project: The real property to be acquired by the City is located at 2802 SW Vittorio Street.
