Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the amendment as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the amendment for transmittal.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve and provide staff direction.

Background: The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the proposed amendment at their February 7, 2023 meeting.  A public hearing for the first reading of the ordinance was held at the February 27, 2023 City Council meeting.  The City Council approved the application for transmittal to the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and reviewing agencies.

The Florida Department of Transportation provided a technical assistance comment that the City address transportation needs that support a multimodal transportation system within the vicinity of the project when reviewing the site plan for the area.  There will be sidewalks and bike lanes on both sides of Wylder Parkway and a future bus stop in the vicinity. There were no comments from DEO or the other reviewing agencies.
