Executive Summary (General Business): The proposed amendment is to add a 17,550 square foot building to the existing 48,959 square foot building for a Preschool and a K-5 School.

 

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a presentation.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the major site plan amendment as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the major site plan amendment.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve the major site plan amendment and provide staff direction.

 

Background: The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the major site plan amendment at their meeting of October 1, 2019. The Site Plan Review Committee recommended approval of the major site plan amendment at their meeting of July 10, 2019.

Special Consideration: The applicant has submitted a landscape modification to be exempt from installing the required architectural wall on the north, northeast, southwest property lines. The application will be reviewed at the October 28, 2019 City Council meeting. The site plan has shown the required architectural wall as required with a note stating that the requirement is pending the approval of a landscape modification.

 

Location of Project: The property is located on the east side of Cashmere Boulevard.
