Accept the FY2019-20 Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee Annual Report

Executive Summary (General Business): Established through Port St. Lucie Resolution 18-R95, the Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee (ISCOC) is required to submit an annual report to the City Council by the end of December of each year. The report is to affirm that proceeds received by the City from the Infrastructure Surtax were spent on projects listed in the Ten-Year Plan as recorded in Port St. Lucie Ordinance 18-50.
Presentation Information: Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee Chairman Ken Kroll, or a designee, will submit the Annual Report to the City Council. Staff from the Sales Tax Action Team (STAT) will be available to respond to questions.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council accept the ISCOC Annual Report.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and accept the ISCOC Annual Report
2. Move that the Council provide staff direction.
Background: This report is intended to affirm that the work accomplished by the City of Port St. Lucie has been done in conformance with the mandate set out in the 2018 ballot language and supporting resolutions and ordinances. This report covers the second year that the Infrastructure Surtax became available reflecting activity during Fiscal Year 2019-20 (October 1, 2019-Spetember 30, 2020).
