Executive Summary (General Business): Request for approval of a Major Site Plan for a 22,604 square foot self-service storage facility and office building.

 

Presentation Information: Staff will provide a presentation if requested.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Major Site Plan as recommended by the Site Plan Review Committee.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the request.

2.                     Move that the Council deny the request and provide direction.

 

Background: On August 6, 2024, the Planning and Zoning Board approved the variance request to allow for bay sizes up to 900 square feet. The Site Plan Review Committee reviewed the proposed site plan at their meeting on July 10, 2024, and recommended approval.

 

Issues/Analysis: The project has been reviewed for compliance with the requirements of Chapter 158, Zoning Code and the St. Lucie West Development of Regional Impact Development Order regarding provision of adequate public facilities  and found to be in compliance.

Location of Project: The property is generally located north of NW Mercantile Place and east of NW Enterprise Drive in the St. Lucie West Industrial Park.
