Executive Summary (General Business): A small-scale comprehensive plan amendment requested by the City of Port St. Lucie (owner) to change the Future Land Use designation for 8.37 acres of property from Commercial General/Commercial Highway (CG/CH) to Utility (U) to construct a phased redevelopment/expansion of the existing Public Works facility.
Presentation Information: Staff will make a presentation.
Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment, as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
2. Move that the Council deny the Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
Background: On January 3, 2023, the Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of the rezoning ordinance. See attached staff report for more background.
