Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)

2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and All Florida Contracting Services, LLC.
3. Purpose: Upgrade current generator to be able to run power to the entire building.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: Add an additional 91 calendar days for a new end date of March 31, 2022.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Provide a reliable source of power to City Hall during hurricanes when power outages may occur.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): An additional $130,562 for a new Contract amount of $1,261,938.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve Amendments #1 - 4 to Contract #20200116 for the Replacement of the Generator at City Hall with All Florida Contracting Services, Inc.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve Amendments #1 - 4 to Contract #20200116.
2. Move that the Council not approve Amendments #1 - 4 and provide staff with direction.
Background: The unforeseen additional expenses were not part of the original contract. Amendment #1 was for a time extension only due to delays in material deliveries. Amendments #2 - 4 includes the secondary feeders to the new transformer location required an additional 95 feet, re-routing the chiller water pipes, larger rolling gates, replacing the old transformer slab, additional structural louvers, new structural beams to support the architectural louvers, remove the elevated concrete slab, rental of a back-up generator (twice) and modifications to the factory shipped stairs.
Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the proposed changes described herein and finds them to be fair and reasonable.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the Facilities Management General Fund / Other Machinery & Equipment (#001-4135-564400-00000).
