2. Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and Verizon Connect Fleet USA, LLC.
3. Purpose: To enable fleet monitoring/tracking of city owned vehicles driven by staff to prevent speeding, reckless driving, and visual location of the vehicles.
4. New/Renewal/Modified: Modified.
5. Duration: March 27, 2025 through September 20, 2027 with 3 additional 5-year options to renew.
6. Benefits to Port St. Lucie: Providing new equipment and cables to prevent removal of devices. Support for troubleshooting and replacement of failed equipment with new devices. Training videos on how to use the software. Reports can be generated for more detailed analysis of the vehicle.
7. Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The current contract amount is $81,840.60. Future expenditures will be appropriated in each fiscal year.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council approve continued use of Contract #20240088, per City Code of Ordinances, Section 35.08(a)(10)(a), participating in GSA Contract #4TQTCA22D00DD and add additional funds to the Contract for GPS Services.
Alternate Recommendations:
1. Move that the Council amend the recommendation and complete motion in the affirmative.
2. Move that the Council not approve and provide staff with direction.
Background: The City of Port St. Lucie has an account with Verizon which multiple departments are using as their cell phone provider. Verizon also now has a GPS fleet monitoring solution called Verizon Connect/Reveal which multiple departments have utilized for fleet monitoring due to issues with the previous vendor. This items was not originally placed before Council because the value was within the City Manager’s approval threshold. However, usage of the Verizon GPS Fleet Monitoring Services has increased above the threshold now requiring Council approval.
Issues/Analysis: Upon initial approval the departments would now have the ability to utilize this contract through its entire term, September 20, 2027.
Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in various accounts.
