Executive Summary (General Business): The Port St. Lucie Governmental Finance Corporation has applied for preliminary and final subdivision plat approval to subdivide a 5.63-acre tract located at the southeast corner of SW Village Parkway and SW Discovery Way to create two parcels for future development.  Parcel 1 will be 2.69 acres and Parcel 2 will be 2.94 acres.  The project is known as Southern Grove Plat No. 34. 

 

Presentation Information: Staff may provide a short presentation. 

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council adopt the resolution approving the subdivision plat as recommended by the Site Plan Review Committee. 

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and adopt the resolution.

2.                     Move that the Council not adopt the resolution and provide staff direction. 

 

Background: The Site Plan Review Committee reviewed the proposed subdivision plat at their meeting of November 25, 2020 and recommended approval.

 

Issues/Analysis: A site plan has been submitted and is currently under review for Parcel 1.  The site plan will allow for the development of a four-story hotel with 122 rooms (P20-218 Woodspring Suites Hotel).
