Recommendation: Move that the Council approve the transmittal of the large-scale comprehensive plan amendment to the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) with the condition as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Board at their July 2, 2019 meeting.

The proposed amendment is conditioned upon the .72 acres (50-foot-wide strip along Morningside Boulevard) (a) remaining in its natural state; (b) cleared of all exotic vegetation; and (c) provide for the construction of a pedestrian access across the .72 acres of property to the sidewalk along Morningside Boulevard.

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and approve the transmittal to DEO.

2.                     Move that the Council not approve and provide staff with direction.
