Accept the FY2022-23 Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee Annual Report

Strategic Plan Link: The City’s Mission to be financially responsible.

 

Executive Summary (General Business): Established through City of Port St. Lucie Resolution 18-R95, the Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee (ISCOC) is required to submit an annual report to the City Council. The report is to affirm that proceeds received by the City from the Infrastructure Surtax were spent during the preceding fiscal year on projects listed in the Ten-Year Plan as recorded in Port St. Lucie Ordinance 18-50.

 

Presentation Information: ISCOC Chairman Kenneth Kroll will formally submit the Annual Report for City Council consideration. A brief video will follow and feature the infrastructure improvements achieved during the 2022-2023 fiscal cycle.

 

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council accept the ISCOC Annual Report.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend the recommendation and accept the ISCOC Annual Report.

2.                     Move that the Council provide staff direction.

 

Background: This report is intended to affirm that the work accomplished by the City of Port St. Lucie has been done in conformance with the mandate set out in the 2018 ballot language and supporting resolutions and ordinances.

Special Consideration: The City Manager’s Office wishes to acknowledge the support provided to the ISCOC during the previous year by the City Attorney’s and City Clerk’s Offices and the Communications, Finance, and Public Works Departments.
