Summary Brief (Agreements/Contracts only)

1.                     Prepared by: India Barr, Procurement Contracting Officer II, (OMB). 

2.                     Parties: City of Port St. Lucie and ATL Family Logistic LLC.

3.                     Purpose: To provide furniture moving services on an as-needed basis to support the operational needs of City Departments. These services are intended to ensure that furniture relocations, reconfigurations, and related tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to daily operations.

4.                     New/Renewal/Modified: New.

5.                     Duration:   Two (2) years, with the option for four (4) additional one (1)-year renewals.

6.                     Benefits to Port St. Lucie: The establishment of a contract for furniture moving services will provide significant operational benefits to the City. By having a qualified vendor readily available to respond, departments can minimize downtime and maintain continuity of services when furniture moves are required.

7.                     Cost to Port St. Lucie (Annual and Potential): The estimated annual cost for FY25/26 is $150,000.00.  Future expenditures will be appropriated in each fiscal year budget.

Staff Recommendation: Move that the Council award Contract #20250229 for Furniture Moving Services with ATL Family Logistic LLC.

 

Alternate Recommendations:

1.                     Move that the Council amend and approve the recommended bid.

2.                     Move that the Council reject all bids and provide staff with direction to rebid or cancel the bid.

 

Background: The Facilities Maintenance team regularly engages vendors to provide services that extend beyond the scope, capacity, or resources of the internal staff. This approach ensures that specialized tasks and large-scale projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with City standards.

 

An Invitation for Bids was issued om September 22, 2025 to 535 suppliers. The project was downloaded by 29, followed by 18 vendors with 1 bid received on October 27, 2025.

 

Issues/Analysis: Staff has reviewed the one proposal that was received from ATL Family Logistic LLC, and finds the fees to be fair, reasonable and within budget.

                     

Financial Information: Funds are appropriated in the General Fund-Building Maintenance-Repair and Building Maintenance 001-4135-546100.
