Background: In 2024, the City entered into a local agency program funding agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the improvements and extension of existing turn lanes as part of Phase 1 Intersection Improvements at SW Gatlin Boulevard at SW Savona Boulevard. Subsequently, it has been determined by the City and FDOT to no longer fund the project through the LAP Agreement in order to provide a singular procurement for the construction of the project and to improve the project outcome for City residents.
Issues/Analysis: The Resolution authorized the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with FDOT and allows City Staff to take actions necessary to implement the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Financial Information: This project will be funded exclusively through local funding and is currently budgeted.
